SUMMER CAMP 2020
KEYS Empowers, Inc. was able to host 70 youth with a 95% attendance rate for 6 weeks during our summer program Culture In Music. During our 6-week course, students chose to participate in the groups of Fashion, Media, Talent, and Photography. Each morning youth participated in our “Mental Health Moment” and processed their feelings around mental health, police brutality, Black Lives Matter, planning for the future, and other topics they felt passionate about. During breakout sessions, youth were responsible for creating a final project that embodied what they learned and identified songs that would fit the soundtrack of their project.
